I was wondering if anybody in the military or affiliated with the military schools knows where I would be able to get a map of the Panzer and Patch elementry school bus route. I realize that this is probably not something that would be displayed on the net for all Tom, Dick and Harry's to see but is there someone I could email for it?
We are moving to Stuttgart next month and since we have to live off post, I would like to find a place within walking distance of a bus stop.
Thanks

I would absolutely go to the schools in person, IF I WERE IN THE COUNTRY!
Thanks for the replies guys but I tried those already.
Fingers crossed that someone at the School bus office will email me back someday soon.

I work on Kelly. Give me your email address and the details as to what you want and I can send the information to you. I'll scan it if it is only available in hard copy.

I was over at the housing office at Panyer this afternoon and saw a big copy on the wall there. I feel sure they can help you-if they will.

Okay, I sent Tanna a reply. I have a map that can be useful for folks to plan on where they are going to live. Until the address is known, a timetable cannot be procured. It depends on your location as to what bus you get. Once you have an address, it takes about three days to get the "bus pass" and then you are good to go. Let me know if you guys need any more help (email address above for official questions) else, message me using the link on my profile.
Ciao!

All you need to do is find offbase housing that is within the bus routes. You dont want to move too far away from the bases... that might be out of the school bus routes (however, the bus routes do go out pretty far)...It is hard to get a current copy of the bus routes. There are a lot of old (last years copies) going around (and those are even hard to get). They have expanded the bus routes this year to pick up more kids that live further away. This map doesn't actually have "routes" on them... It is more of a zoning map that just highlights the areas that buses will go to. The actual routes will change according to where the children live. They are constantly adding stops to the drivers routes. Most likely your child will be picked up at the NEAREST GERMAN BUS STATION that is to your home. Those are not usually too far from your houses... I doubt your child will have to walk too far. The buses are clearly labeled SCHOOLBUS.. and your bus pass will come with a schedule and a time and bus number. The school bus office is at Patch high school. And they will answer the phone.. there are 3 very nice older gentlemen who are very "on it" !! here is the number that is on my son's bus pass... they lunch from 12-1 usually, however, with school just starting you might catch them still in the office then. The school lets out pretty early...and so they might be closed with the school. I called around 9:45 AM here... that is 6+ hours from Eastern standard time.

But until you know where your child is going to live and which school he will attend, I doubt they can help you. Just stay within the BUS ZONES and they will pick you up... And they can give you a bus pass in less than 15 minutes. I had my son's bus pass created in less than 15 minutes of entering the office... I showed them my address, told them what school he is attending and they routed a bus to the nearest German Bus Stop that is on the corner of my street.
PS... the schools here are great... My son attends the school located on Panzer called Boeblingen Elem/Middle
I can give you more info on the school if you want...
good luck...
