Hi all,

I'm trying to do more fun stuff with my 1.5-year-old (playing in the sandbox gets old after a while) and I want to try out to Kindercity. The only thing is, it's kind of expensive (over 16 euro for the both of us to go into their Wissenswege activity playroom whatever it is), and I'd hate to spend the money not knowing if it's worth it at all. Because if it is worth it, then it's much better to just buy a yearly pass right away. So, has anyone been there, especially the Babyweg and Kaeferweg? Do kids really have fun there? (A month ago we went to the Portland Children's Museum back in the US, and had a lot of fun drawing, shoveling, and splashing in the water).

Hi

Been there a few times and it's great. I'm not sure how much a 1.5 year old will get out of it but they will certaily enjoy watching the other kids doing stuff and there are some things in the first area that you can help them with. There are a few things for little kids in the underneath floor which little ones seem to like.

If I were you I would take also the child to Pinke Panke in Pankow (not Monday), it's free and it's fun and it's outdoors.

Lübars farm is also good.

Every time me & my son have been to kindercity we've had a blast - especially the water and ball area! Bring a change of clothes for your child for that part. There's also little trampolines, reading areas with pretty lights and different textures to feel. Its expensive but we got a 4 hour outing out of it and its educational and fun. Its especially a lifesaver during the dark winter months!

I have a 22 month old son, and we have been to kinder city 2 times, and have had great fun both times..

oh, we usually go to the kinderbauernhof in goerlitzer park, it's fun, too, and close by. we do a lot of things beyond playgrounds (swimming pool, zoo, museums), but i need to expand our list of activities before the bad weather starts smile.gif

have you been to sealife?

I think its much better than the aquarium. Its a bit expensive, but last year I got a year pass for only 19 euros, so that made it worth it..

wow, thanks for the tip! i'll definitely check it out - and apparently a year pass costs 28 euro this year, which is still a good deal if you go more than once smile.gif

I prefer the aquarium. The boy loves the crocodiles upstairs.

Haven't been to Alexa yet.
