The Survivors e.V. Round Dance Club are holding Open Houses an Tuesday October 7 and 14, 2008 at 19:30 in the Bürgerhaus / Freier Musicschule Feuerbach, Stuttgarter Str. 15 (near Obi. Lidl), 70469 Stuttgart. On these evenings you can see what Round Dancing ist all about, participate if you like, find out how to learn more. Generally RD is similar to standard or ballroom dancing, but with a cuer (similar to a caller in Square Dancing) telling all which figure to do next. Rhythms include ChaCha, Rumba, Waltz, Jive, Tango, Quickstep, Slow Fox, Disco Fox, etc. A good way to meet Germans of all ages, get moving but in a non-strenuous way, enjoy music. We do dance as couples, but singles are very welcome to come as well. Most current club members also participate in Square Dancing and can help you find a square dance club in your area. These 2 eveings are free and with no strings attached, but please come at 7:30 PM to hear the explanations. The entrance is across the parking lot from Obi, past the music/book store and up one flight of stairs. For public transport: take S4, S5, U6 or U13 to Bahnhof Feuerbach, then a 5 minute walk to the Bürgerhaus. For more info contact Anja at eMail:president@the-survivors.de or the cuer Susanne.Geiger@ecta.de. Since we have more fun when lots of people participate, we hope you will come to visit us!
