So, It's nearing that time again. So basically, have anyone got plans to go Skiing/Boarding sometime during this winter season? I know it's early but it would be wise to get a rough idea of how many people are interested.

My suggestion is:

Sometime in January/Febuary since these are normally the cheapest times. My guess is that a long weekend would be most convenient for most people so i suggest leaving late Thursday night and returning back sometime on Sunday? This gives us a WHOLE 2 days to injure our selves! If anyone wants to go for a whole week we could rent a chalet. A whole lot of fun could be had then!

Basically, post with constructive feedback if you can (suggestions on dates, accommodation etc) and if you would be interested. Would be nice to have a large Toytown group all tumbling down the piste!

I know you're ready to go, but you may want to give them more than an hour to think it over...

February is not a cheap time, it is one of the most expensive..

a bit early to say, but I'm sure that my guy and I would be up for this smile.gif. I've never been skiing/boarding but I can uh iceskate, rollerblade, and skateboard so that's a start tongue.gif. I have a friend who goes pretty often so maybe he knows of some good deals.

This would be great! I can't commit yet as I don't know when I'll be back in Stuttgart, but I'd definitely join if it all possible.

Would love to go skiing or snowboarding, depending on the hill smile.gif So sounds great, but don't know when/if I will be in Stuttgart in Jan/Feb... so I'm also in the will join for sure if possible camp.

Excellent. Well it's good to know there's SOME interest. I'll slowly start doing some research on good locations, method of travel and ideal number of people. I think by car would be the most economical route, especially when shared between 5 people. However, first i need to return to England before January since i kinda forgot all my ski gear! blink.gif

Please let me know what dates would be most compatible with your timetables and i'll try and form some kind of compromise. I can't wait to get this sorted!

*I realise a fair amount of people who registered interest in Skiing are also going to Singapore for the new year (i may be too). My suggestion is perhaps sometime in early January, which also conincides with being the cheapest period for skiing. Either that or middle to late Febuary. Anything after that starts getting price, although i'm not sure how large the price variable is since i'm basing this off package deal flights (and i'm sure the cost of the flight dictates a large percentage of the price rise in the Easter holiday season. If anyone is knowledgable about this kind of stuff then please share your wisdom right on this here thread!
