What time does it start again? I have to work until 6pm. I know Greg is keen, but it depends on when his train gets back from
Ingolstadt.
Okay, I just looked, 6pm start. I have to go home, dump books and change into something more appropriate, but I should be there by 6:30

I doubt we will have retired to GM's by then so you should be fine. I have to pop into
Marienplatz shops anyway so may be 15mins late.
yeah, I've got to take the sbahn home from work today, so I'll probably be a fraction late as well. If ya'll get there at 6 and no one is there, don't leave!!! I'm on my way!!!

Like, today? Who needs to watch that stupid soccer game anyways?
P.S. I also just realized, if jayhay isn't there (along with my disc that I left behind last time), does anyone else have a disc? That'd be pretty annoying for everyone to show up and then we realize none of us have a disc!

I'll bring my fancy Aerobie disc.
On a semi-related topic, I'll be in the EG not far from where we meet playing Volleyball starting at about 12:30. If interested just show up and look for the net. And me.
ok, I said I'd be there, so I will. However, my legs are working about as well as a bb gun against an elephant right now... so I don't know if I'll get much in the way of playing time. I'll probably end up a cheerleader today... and no, I'm not going to wear a slutty outfit (sorry for the letdown).

Good game, but yes, we definitely need to relocate - at least for the Sunday meet-ups. I'll scout out the north part of the English Gardens this afternoon while I'm out running and look for a good alternative.
Ben is back this week, so he can pass the information on to the astronomers.
I'll post again this afternoon.

So I had a look around yesterday and the best place I found was here:

There's a lot of space available in the north part of the gardens, but not that many places where the grass is cut or tolerably short. This place is near a fairly well-known biergarten (Hirschau) which makes it easy to find. It's hard to say how busy it will get on the weekend, but definitely quieter than where we've been playing.
To get there: From U-Dietlindenstr follow Dietlindenstr, take the 3rd left into Biedersteiner Str, then the 1st Right into Männlichstr. Männlichstr. turns into Mommsenstr. which turns into Werneckweg (going through the park). Eventually you arrive at the crossing with Gyßlingstr, which is where the Hirschau Biergarten is (from U-Dietlindenstr about 5-10 minutes on foot). Keep going straight over the Gyßlingstr. and then look to your left.
If you get lost, you can ask directions to the Hirschau Biergarten - from there it's only about 50m. Also: The Hirschau can be found in at hot-maps.de by searching for Gyßlingstr. 15.
I would suggest we stick with the usual place on Wednesday and try this next Sunday, meeting at U-Dietlindenstrasse the first time and walking together from there.
What do people think?

@IPJ: My folks called at 9.10am, usually this wouldn't be a problem but after last night I was not best pleased! I don't think I was actually hung over at all this morning, all the dancing must have got rid of any trace of evil in my system.

OLD LOCATION TODAY (WEDNESDAY)
Won't be there until next Weds. A friend is coming into town tonight, and while with most people I'd drag them along to help them get over jet-lag, this kid is different. first, he is going to be backpacking around EU for a month or so, so smelly cloths right from the get-go doesn't help you get many places to stay. But more importantly, this kid is nicknamed 'Tequilla Bowl John' and has a habit of injuring all those around him without meaning too.
hehe, story time.
So, was on a 7-week intensive Business German course here in Germany that was through my school back home. That is where I met this kid. The teacher we had, while from our school, is a native German, and all of her family still lives here. Well, we went to a Museum in Dresden and our teacher's mother came along since she lived near there. While walking through a set of very thick glass doors, the student in front of TBJ openned the door, walked through, and intended for the next person to grab hold of it like normal. Well, the next person was TBJ... who decided to slip through the door as it closed. Well, with the expectation that the door was still being pushed open from the people in front, this 80 something year old woman tried to go through. I saw the door closing and this lady exactly inbetween both doors and lunged to try to stop the door from closing... which probably helped about as much as an ant helping you push a 2 ton boulder up a hill. Needless to say, the mother of our teacher had a VERY large black and purple bump on her head for about two weeks after that.
On our weekend off, TBJ went skiing in the alps with a couple of friends. Before hand, he had claimed he could ski (which I'm used to hearing from EVERYONE in the south... "I'm an awesome skier, I go once a year to XXXXX"... yeah... hm. right. anyway). However, while he could make it down the hill, up was another story. There was a t-bar on the glacier (like at most summer glaciers) which gave him some slight problems. Somehow the kid managed to put the t-bar between his legs w/o falling over, and then while in a nice steady section, fell over and proceeded to be draged up the hill by his nuts.
He also almost fell down a set of steps (ok, two, but thats not the point). But instead, was able to catch himself and keep upright... by grabbing hold of me and throwing my ass down the steps. Guess that's what I get for trying to help him not fall.
So, long set of stories short, in the interest of NOT producing injuries during the game, I will be keeping him a safe distance from other humans. I think his plane has already landed because I can feel the clumbsyness in the air. If you fall down today, just know that this kid is probably why.
Other than that, have a good game!!
