Hey all,
It was great playing with you all on Sunday. (Believe it or not, I've not had Internet access till yesterday)
Thanks! Especially Scott & Eliana for taking me to the 'Arc'. And Greg!
See you on Sunday.
Another question: any other Ultimate games you guys know of - especially during the winter?
Cheers,
Manoj

On the subject on playing ultimate in the colder months ...
There are two other regular pick-up games in Munich (
Studentenstadt and the game on Thursdays nr. Hirschwald, or Hirsch- something) and four league teams who practice regularly (
Mir San Mir,
Zamperl,
the Woodies and the
Wegwerfgesellschaft).
Your best bet for winter ultimate: some if not all of the teams keep practising all year round - I've read about both indoor and outdoor winter training. Try their websites or send them an email to find out (and don't forgot to post back here

).

Fantastic game today!
The next game is next Sunday at 2pm in the English Gardens near Giselastrasse.A couple of people asked today how many more games there are likely to be this season. Basically it's all a question of the weather and when people stop turning up. Probably 3-4 more weeks. It's been a great season - we've been playing non-stop since the end of March, had some great turnouts (35+ people) and spent at least as many hours in the beer garden afterwards as we have actually playing ultimate

I think it would be a really nice idea to organise an end-of-season night out for everyone who's played with us through 2006. Once we know when the last game will be I'll suggest a time and place. I hope that people like the idea, it's been so much fun there last 7 months, it's seems worth celebrating!

Good idea, Jay!
On the topic of winter...yesterday at the tower, I mentioned that I am interested in someone (uh, else) organizing indoor volleyball for the winter season to stave off the post-ultimate winter lazies. So I created a thread. Take a look - I'd appreciate any help.

Good game last night, indeed! It felt like a marathon session, actually. Jay -- good idea on a end of season night out.

For those who have been out of the loop, due to cryogenic suspension or something, here's what you need to know: It's October, and we are still playing Ultimate! Our next game is
Sunday at Giselastrasse at 2pm.

Scheduled my weekly hangover for Saturday this weekend so I should be fresh and perky tomorrow on the field.

Intense discussion after today's game lead to general agreement that our
end-of-season night out will be on the 11th of November. Time and place to be confirmed,
frisbee people keep your calendars free. If you've joined us for even one game this year, you should be there!
In the meantime, our next game will be on Sunday 29.10. at 14:00 in the English Gardens nr. Giselastrasse. The long-range forecast is looking bizarrely warm for this time of year. Let's hope it's right

Hey all, I am contemplating to play a bit on Sunday... if there isn't interest for Ultimate I might go for Disc Golf at Weilheim. Got a bunch of used discs in the States and want to check them out. So, if you're up for one or the other
frisbee sport post here!
(IMO, Ultimate isn't worth it unless we have at least 8 ppl).

I'd be up for a game on Sunday, dependant upon weather and/or intensity of hangover.
If it's sunny, I'm sure we'll get 8 people out no problems.

Can't do Saturday myself...
Tsquare, As for Sunday, I would be skipping out early on a brunch my girlfriend is doing at our own apartment. Hope that gives you some ideas

Also, sadly I have no internet at home yet (damn Arcor/T-Com... any other ideas for getting internet!? Cable not avail yet). So can't really check what's happening last-minute.

I'd be interested in Sat too, but I too have no internet access at home so I'd need to be sur as of Friday afternoon that it's going ahead
I"m away.
I'm listed as questionable for this weekend, but Arthur is chomping at the bit, desperate for a game. Once he gets through with that bit, he might start chomping at lab equipment. I think there should be a game.

Hello folks.
I've been away (back home to Chicago for 2 Sundays and Zug for another) - came back this Monday.
I'm in for a game - as long as there are 8+ people there. I *have* to play - am going through major withdrawl.
Will play through most weather conditions.
Since I haven't been around much, here is a question: Is there still a game this Sunday? If yes, any idea how many players would we end up with on Sunday? Also, when & where?
If this game isn't on (this Sunday), any ideas where someone can play this weekend? (Thanks, JayHay. He had sent some ideas, but I haven't been able to research them yet. And now, I have to look through the archives!)
Also, what about this Sat night 'Ultimate Players Night Out'? Will any of the players I've played with (I was there only 2/3 times) be there? Hard to tell by the 'user names'. Scott?
Hopefully see you this weekend (Sat and/or Sun).

I'd suggest 2pm at the
Giselastr. location -- our "winter" Sunday time. Doubtful that the park will be too crowded. If we started at the old, "summer" time it would be dark after 1h of play,
If it's raining and cold, it may affect attendance (including mine), but if it's not too bad I'll be there. Word of warning, I heard "rain all weekend." But weathermen have been wrong before.

Argh, happily my party ended at 4am... but sadly i was not prepared for leaving the house at 1:30 for Ultimate on Sunday morning. Hope some of y'all made it.
We did get there to say hello, but it was only at about 4pm. By then I guess whoever had made it for the brief sunny weather was gone. At least I got to try out some new golf discs, finally found one that goes pretty straight for midrange shots.
Maybe next Sunday for me...!
