Cheers to everyone for a really good game, I thoroughly enjoyed myself yesterday afternoon with my first ever game of Ultimate! Nice to meet the group and time permitting I'm certain I'll be along for more punishment in the future!

Hey, that was a nice game on Sunday--I definitely enjoyed the smaller pitch with fewer players. Looking forward to trying to make it out for tomorrow, but it really depends on work/meetings/etc...

I can't walk so well right now (pesky swelling in the knee doesn't seem to be going away!) so might make it to the Biergarten if you're coming. Otherwise I might ice my knee instead.

Landed wrong/sideways from a high jump during last Sunday's game. At least I think the tendons and ligaments are all still intact

I'd really love to play and my foot is 99% better but common sense (I must be getting old) says wait a bit more!

Next ultimate game: Sunday 6th May at 14:00 at the playing field nr. Hirschau (see location 2 on the map).

I am still out of action. Can only go to places that I can park next to. I hope the meniscus is only bruised, will see Tue/Wed. Hope the weather holds for you guys to have a good game!

Hey Tenley, heh heh well I had a bit of a rough nite saturday and somehow got it in my head that it started at 4pm not 2pm. I made it there for the last hour or so. Sorry I missed ya.

Next game will be on Wednesday 9th May at 18:00 in the Giselastr. location.

Hey yeah... I partially tore my ACL landing wrong from a really high jump. I was distracted by not catching the disc, which really surprised me. I wonder what my life would be like now, if I'd only caught that disc.

So doc said the best chance for it to heal as well as it can (which of course, is minus the broken fibers) is to use one crutch and a knee brace for 4 weeks. I am out for the rest of the spring.

Ultimate-injury-related topic: if anyone wants to hang out and do something chill any time just let me know! I can offer my place for an Ultimate get together (movies, beer, whatever). In fact since 10d ago I have been bored out of my skull :/ Would definitely hit up Hofbrau tonight to hang out if there was a non-walking way to get there but, no biggie.

Anybody got a Wheel Chair One51 can borrow, so he can be mobile again...

My friend gave me this beer holder rack as he is moving back to the States. They were giving me crap while carrying it to the car yesterday b/c it looks almost exactly like an old person's walker :-) Hehe.

Time to wheel him out for his Friday beer drinking Therapy..

The forecast looks fantastic for Sunday. 27 degrees, a nice day of ultimate and a dip in the Eisbach are all in order I must say! See you at the Hirschau field at 14:00 this Sunday (marked no. 2 on the map at the beginning of the thread).

I shall be there and will once again be attempting the 360 degree reverse between-the-legs catch, at great personal risk to myself.
But obviously not during the game.
