Anyone interested in a game of ultimate this Thursday, 17 May (it's a holiday)?

As to the next game, this will be on Wednesday at 18:00 at Giselastrasse (location 1, see the map).

I'm up for a 2 PM or earlier game on Thursday as well as the regular one on Wednesday. Weather isn't looking too great for either days at the moment though.

On the weekend 31st June / 1st July there's a tournament on in Marburg (near Frankfurt). It's a fun tournament: small fields, 4 on the line, max of 5 players per team. I've got a spot for Mother Tongue (native english speakers in Germany), but am still missing two players to make the team... Anyone interested in joining?

I'd sort of given up on tonight too - the forecast having been so bad and all - but it's looking fairly promising now.

Well unfortunately I stayed at work way too long to be able to squeeze frisbee between it and my evening plans. If the weather holds I will be there tomorrow though.

Phew, 26 degrees and sun forecast for tomorrow. Can't wait ...

Everyone can thank me for choosing the right weather report today!

A couple of points worth noting if you're planning to come out and play today:

(1) If you have a frisbee, bring it along: The pre-game warm-up is MUCH better if we have plenty of discs. Standing in an enormous circle with one disc going back and forth is only fun for those that can throw the disc at least 50 metres. It's more fun to throw in pairs or threes and practice short throws, forehand etc.
(2) Try and bring both a light and a dark coloured t-shirt with you. It makes it much easier to tell who's on your team during the game.
(3) Don't forget to bring a big bottle of water.

Good point. For the last two seasons I've organised a collective order of ultimate weight (175g) discs from an online store for anyone who's interested. With group discount it came to about 12EUR per disc last year. I'd be happy to do the same again this year. If you're interested in buying a disc, send me a PM (don't post to the thread) with the number of discs you'd like to buy. You'll get a chance to choose a colour later.

I'll be in Munich for a brief visit from next Sunday (the 27th) and although my flight gets in a little too late for frisbee I'll certainly be along to the beer garden for a wee bevy before I head out to Garching... be good to see you all! How do I get to Hirschau again?

Everyone welcome ... don't forget to bring a dark/light t-shirt and your frisbee. The warm-up on Sunday was much better because we had so many discs which made it possible to practice in pairs and threes. On the subject of discs, if anyone wants to order a disc let me know by the end of the week. I was thinking about getting the discs here, I imagine we'll get 1-2 Euros discount depending on volume. I see they also print individual discs with a motif of your choice for only EUR20 in this shop, not a bad deal that.

... 8 discs and counting, so I guess it will definitely be worth it. Actually, I might get a disc or two printed up with the TT ultimate logo we developed two years back, it seems a shame we never used it ...

I'm definitely interested in a TT Ultimate disc! Can we pick colors?

Waiting on feedback. I think the discs will be white, we can do what we want with the colours of the logo (i.e. background colour and logo colour). I'll draft a few variations and post them here later, but bear in mind that we all have to order the same design to take advantage of the price discount.

Update: I've already received orders for 10 discs with the Toytown ultimate logo, so the discs will cost €15,90 each (or less).

Stick me on that list as well please, that'll be my first frisbee!

The next ultimate game will be on Sunday 27.05 at 14:00 at the Hirschau location (#2 on the map).
Also, starting with the first game in June (= not this Sunday, but the one after) the Sunday games will be moved back to 16:00 to avoid the midday heat.

Update on the discs: I've received orders for 18 discs with the Toytown ultimate logo now, so the discs will only cost €14,90 each.

I've checked my flights, and I can't see me getting into town before six so might not be able meet you guys after all. Will do my best to pop in for a quick one if there's people around though - old phone number should still work. Otherwise, I'm sure I'll be back over the summer at some point.

Disc update: We're now at 23 TT discs so the price has dropped to €13,90 each.
I'll place the order next week and send a mail around at the same time with details of how to pay.
