Hey Jay (Canadian),
It was a pleasure to have played with you. We "really old"-timers gotta stick together, otherwise these young'uns run roughshod...
Good luck to you and your wife (and the dog)! Vancouver is such a beautiful city... I gotta get out of Chicago (Munich, SF, Zurich or Vancouver).
I'll burn a CD of the pictures and I'm giving it to Scott today over lunch.
Are you going to be at Mandy's tonight?
Steffan, I will probably see you tonight.
Cheers,
Manoj

Oh, HB,
Did I drink that much that I don't remember carrying a bag for you at all OR maybe you have me confused with someone else?
High probability, it is the former - since my memory is as good as Bill Clinton's dictionary expertise (how do you define 'is' - and I love the guy ;-)
Looking forward seeing you all tonight. Just like everywhere, Ultimate folks are the most welcoming (and do they know how to party hard? :-)
I MISS MUNICH.
Ah, well...

Well Manoj, I really did think it was you, but I am not that certain anymore... I have been proven wrong before, believe it or not! I *thought* we walked back together from the CT and I *thought* you were the one who offered to carry the extra bag I had picked up since I had a lot on my hands and my ankle hurt.
And yeah, thanks for reminding me that was the thing going on tonight, Mandy's party... Knew there was sumffin', I knew it.
I blame the water.

[Jayhay mode on]Next Ultimate game will be on Sunday 5 August at the Hirschau location at 16:00.[/Jayhay mode off][Mrbrain mode on]It will be very sunny and up to 24°C so bring a lot of water. People just don't realise how hot it can get out there when you're running your behind off.
Also it is always a good idea to bring a couple of shirts ie. a dark one and a light one, to be able to sub for both teams. And bring shoes, too. The general consensus tends towards runners or cleats. And wearing (sports) clothes is also highly recommended - but then again it is a free country.
Oh and bring some warmer clothes for the biergarten afterwards, it can get a bit chilly later on in the evening, or so I have heard from the peeps who hang around til
close late.

HG, I'm happy that what you *thought* was actually something good (me helping you). That's not the case normally with me

To be honest, I was going to live up to my team name, and go "Oh wow, Heather, you are clairvoyant, too? That is exactly what I was planning to do tonight (except not walk back from CT, but walk back from ...)"

But seriously, I hope your ankle (AND the knee) are doing better. Good luck. I feel your pain!
Folks, I gave the pictures to Scott. They are quite hi-rez, so enjoy.
See you in the evening.

Hey all,
I might play disc golf tomo (Sat) if weather is nice. Definitely plan to be at Ultimate on Sunday as well though. Who wants to play disc golf, PM me or search for the Disc Golf thread (I am going there next).

Oh, boy... Now, who am *I*?
I'm really sorry HB and HM (Heather). Two different people, but still nice folks (gotta earn some brownie points!) I wonder what a combo person would be like...
Now, HB, so who are you in real life? So I can actually make sure I carry out your vision...

That also means you HAVE to come down tonight. Please. Pretty please, with honey on top... (and all that mushy, gooey stuff. achk!)
HB, hope your ankle feels better. HM, hope your knee feels better. Whew, did I get it all right?
And all my smart-assyness was lost in translation somewhere (of virtual to real). My teammates would be really disappointed. Eternal shame!
Later.

Well Manoj, heza and beez aside, the real question is if I persuade Aoife to join us for playing Ultimate!
Your PR job cannot be overlooked. Maybe you need to be hired as a TT sports promoter, to get back to Munich.

No worries about the mix up PhantomRex.
And sorry I couldn't make it to the party, worked late and then went to buy some stuff of another TTer, only got home around 10, thought it'd be too late to show up, real pity I missed the party.
But I hope you all had a good time?
How long are you staying PhantomRex, will you be playing on Sunday? If yes, I will see you there.
Btw, to know who I am, you might want to check my profile pic.

All this talk about forgetting things! And surprise surprise I went and forgot my jacket friday nite at Mandy's party.
So if anyone happened to have picked up a blue North Face shell from the Augustiner Bier Hall we started at friday nite could you please let me know : )
Oh, I did stop by and they didn't have it.
Thanks

Hirschau on Sunday and we have them now.
If you want to see them again in one piece, well two, come down to
frisbee tomorrow night or PM to organise the pick up.

Hi, I'm new here, but I went today at 3pm and couldn't find anyone. And location 1 was a bunch of soccer and some pairs playing
frisbee but no groups. At location 2 was a group playing frisbee but they were all speaking German so I figured that was not TT. I am pretty good with direcitons and I spent a long time wandering around there, so I'm pretty sure I had the right place. Any tips for next time? No, I didn't RSVP but I decided to come last minute.

Hey Arch, it is 4:00 not 3:00 :-/
We were at the
Hirschau location by the Tivoli bier pavilion (I think thats the name right?). But we had to move from the normal field to one on the other side of the shuffleboard (or whatever that is) because of mud on the normal field.

Next game will be on Wednesday at 18:00 at the Giselastrasse location. So I went to the hospital, got my x-rays and I have a very small fracture in my nose, but it's not broken. It will heal by itself pretty quickly and it doesn't even really hurt. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have two black eyes so I can walk around looking hard for a week. Intimidate people in the u-bahn, that sort of stuff.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for being so kind earlier on ... and Eric - hope you're not feeling bad about the collision. Good luck to you in Budapest, it was fun playing with you

Aug 12 2007, 11:09 pm
Hey y'all! Jay, I hope your nose is in one piece. As for me, no break! Just a bad sprain and they put some smelly cream on it and said I should be able to walk by the end of this week. Thanks SO much everyone for carrying my injured ass. Besides the injury, I'm only sorry that you guys had to see my hairy legs. Anyhow, on Wed I'll be around for my last night and I intend on celebrating as per usual even if I have to gimp' it. Especially since I owe certain someone's a certain 5 liters of Poisonade (Zombii!!). So, until then. And yes Eric, have a great semester in Budapest, I hope we'll meet again!

We discussed it a bit today at the biergarten, since wednesday is a holiday is anyone interbreasted in starting the game early?

I like the idea of playing at 4pm.
With it being a holiday and all that might be the only change to get me on the field before I drink too many beers to be of (minmal) use ;-o

Jay & Abbey, glad the recovery should be fast!
And after the final point, I am quite glad we didn't have a 3rd injury (stomped face). My foot managed to swerve out of the way 5cm before making face contact. Hint: don't dive underneath someone when they are sprinting and looking at the disc.

Okay, bit of a change of plan for this week.
A few people have mentioned that they would prefer to play a little earlier on Wednesday, it being a bank holiday and all, so ...
