Ultimate Frisbee - Wednesdays and Sundays

since it's a holiday "our field" might be already swamped with lazy, fat Germanseese..., so it's probably worth checking also the other location if nobody is at the Giselastraße around 16:00?

You may have a point. I guess the only thing we can do now (at such short notice) is to meet at Giselastrasse as planned and then if needs be all move to Dietlindenstrasse together. See you guys at 4pm.

Hey Liebe Leute--I just wanted to say I had a great "last" night watching the game and at the biergarten with you guys. I had SO much fun this summer and playing frisbee was a huge part of it...man goodbyes are terrible. So I just won't do it. I'll graduate, probably come back to visit Munich, and then ditch my country and just stay here. How's that?

Abbey, it was great to have you play with us this season. Good luck for back home, let's hope you miss Munich so much that you do come back soon for good. Ultimate naturals with a sense of humour and a high alcohol threshhold are always sorely missed.

The forecast for the day is looking a little dodgy, but right now the sun is shining. We just have to believe!

I plan on being out there today unless it's pouring down... a little rain never hurt anyone and it keeps the bugs away!

Hey...I'll be there Sunday. Did anyone by any chance happen to pick up a bottle of insect repellant from last SUnday? i can;t find mine anywhere, annoying cause it was a deet one and I don't think it's to easy to come by here.

I found some bigass sunglasses Wednesday when we all left. Silver frames, look like an airplane wing on my face. Steve?

Looks like today's game is going to be rained out unless enough people want to play in the rain.. I'm down to play today if there's enough people who say they don't' mind playing in the rain.. otherwise, I'll be a no show.. unless of course by some miracle it stops raining

Is there some kind of a marker there to recognize you guys or some kind of special jerseys since there are tons of people playing frisbee...sorry i am not familiar with the English Garden even though I looked up your map...is there somebody I can call up once I reach there probably at 3:45 or so...just in case!

Mukeysh81, there are no jerseys, but have a look on the map above. We will be at the Hirschau location. Ulitmate involves a lot of people on a field playing (6 vs. 6 or 7 vs. 7) so look for a frisbee flying with lots of people running (not just playing catch :-) ... although until the game starts there are usually a large number of people playing catch with multiple frisbees.

Although the weather looks miserable, the next game is scheduled for Wednesday 05.09.2007 at the Giselastr. field. at 18:00.

I don't think I can play today. Anyone else planning on showing up? Weather looks ok now, but that could change.

Its a little cool out, but doesn't look like its gonna rain. Anybody planning on coming?

So that said, the next game will be at the Hirschau field on Sunday 09.09.2007 @ 14:00!

Was there a game today? The weather cleared. I'll try to finally make it this Wednesday. Haven't thrown a disc in ages.

There was a game, we played "Double D" with 5 people until we got enough for a small-field 3 on 3.

Double D was not bad... two squares about 5m apart, each team stays in their square, you use 2 discs. You have to land the discs in the other team's square without them catching it, and without throwing it out of the borders of the square. There were several other rules, but that's the basic idea.

And 6/7 people stayed for another 2h at the Biergarten (restaurant really since the BG was closed). We had the record longest wait ever for a Bretzen, I think my Schweinebraten had been delivered AND finished before the pretzel made it out. Yay German service!
