Ultimate Frisbee - Wednesdays and Sundays

Great game last night guys. I am glad some people showed up after I waited for 20 minutes on my own! I thought I was going daft until Mandy arrived and said that people have been arriving nearer to 18:20/18:30 the last few times.

Thanks to icculus for showing us 'square' until some more folks showed up for a proper game!

The 'good game' buzz continued also when Scotland beat France later in the evening!

I would like to join today, but I am a beginner. I know all of the throws and have thrown quite a bit, but I have only watched the game! I know the gist of it, so I hope everyone is open to a probably not so good beginner?! If anyone is on here beforehand, could they tell me the best way to get to where you play? I am coming from South of Marienplatz on the U3. Thanks, and hope to see you at 2 if I don't get lost!

Easiest was is to find the Hirshau beergarden, usually the u6 to dietlindenstr. (sp) and then head east, and look on the park maps. we are usually just a bit east of the hirshau

Just moved to Munich and I'm looking forward in joining up for some ultimate in the rain. Can't say as I'm in shape for it, but I'm willing to give it a go. Hope to see you there!

Looking forward to playing later! I have a web presentation thing starting at 17:00 from the US though so I hopefully won't be delayed. Having said that, I was there at 18:00 last week and no-one was there until about 18:25 or so! Will people be there from 18:00 this evening?

A small but dedicated following arrived to play today - at the most we played some 3 on 3, then did some drills and such. It was a beautiful day out there - now it's time for the Wies'n!

Could we switch Sundays back to Giselastr. location starting this Sunday?

I second that, it is so much easier to get to and the EG now has a lot less people/more free space than it does over the summer.

Im going to be in Munich from November 4th to November 19th, do you think you guys will still be playing because I would love to play some Ultimate in Germany!

If the weather is decent, we'll still be playing. Just check this thread when you get into town. Last year we played well into November if I remember correctly.

Hey all -- my knee is still not happy, but the prognosis is OK. Just some pain from the kneecap cartilage from unequal muscles, not a problem with the ACL anymore. Probably I'll be playing like normal next spring. Now, to the gym...!

Anybody still thinking of playing an early game today in honor of German Unity Day? Weather looks great. If we played a little earlier than people are talking about, probably 2, preferably 1 or 1:30 at the latest, I could definitely make it for a while. (Heading to the Wies'n around 3:30).

I could be there at 1. No Wiesn for me today, so I can stay as late as people are interested in playing, as well...
