There's a game on Sunday, Dietlindenstr. location at 2pm, ge'?
jayhay
Yup, tomorrow at Dietlindenstrasse at 14:00. It's going to be a hot one.
honeebeaz
Hope everybody is ready for today, the weather is gorgeous. Bring loads of water, you're going to need it! See you all there.
jayhay
Sharpening my cleats and waxing my frisbee as I type.
Domi_Nika
Finally I can come too. See you! smile.gif
Mook32
Thanks everyone! Great day!
jayhay
Jesus Christ that was such a sweet Sunday!

The next game will be at the Giselastrasse location (the Werneckwiese, so I'm told, location 1 on ze map) at 1800 on Wednesday. The weather gods appear to be smiling upon us. Very excited indeed.
codejak
'Sweet indeed' it was. How many people can be expected for Wednesday? I gotta admit I am more likely not to be there (duty will probably still be calling), but I'd love to try to free up my evening if it promises to be another fun game.
icculus
Weather promises to be great again. I am planning to be there, but could be a little late depending on work.
-Space-
I'll be there for the 1st hour or so. I have another commitment at 20:00. So, I won't be able to hang around for a beer :-(
mrbrain
Will be there... looking forward to some China Turm action afterwards!
mrbrain
BEEEEEER GARDEN!!!
Rocko

icculus
The weather outlook for the whole weekend is great.
Who is up for a 2pm game on Sunday at Hirschau": Marked as "2" on the map?
icculus
Ok. We're on for 2pm Sunday at Hirschau.
In case the weather outside your window isn't enough motivation, ...
... check this out: check this out:
Beba
I'm in tomorrow!
jayhay
Me too! The game's tonight at 18:00 at the Giselastrasse location ("1" on the map).
Bring water, a frisbee if you have one and yourself.
icculus
Will try to make it out tonight. Depends on work. Seehaus has been suggested for the after ultimate beer stop ;-)
icculus
It's beautiful outside my window, and the forecast for tonight is nice. Forcast for the weekend is nasty, so if you realy wanna play this week, come out tonight.
hucker
Hey guys, knee didn't survive Sunday so well. Pete did you get my ueberweisung? Thanks again for the beer bucks. Just PM me to confirm. Hope ya'll have a great game and some well earned brews.
Cheers A
Solo
Thats two great weather Wednsedays I've missed now due to being away! I need to have a game with good weather soon!
Robinn
It's a bit rainy, but not too bad... are you playing today?
-Space-
It is supposed to be sprinking a bit on Wednesday and 15 degrees. I say we go for it regardless of the weather and be prepared for a few nice mud slides. What do you say? Who is with me?
M&T
I'm new to the area but I'm game for it. Is it at spot 1 or spot 2 on the map?
icculus
I'm up for playing tommorow (Wed.).
Thursday is a holiday as well, so we can go all out in the mud!
-Space-
As it is Wednesday and isn't hot and sunny, we should have no trouble getting a field on spot 1. So, I suggest meeting there. It looks like there are at least 3 of us confirmed. Anyone else coming? A few more online confirmations could encourage the people on the edge to come out. BTW, the weather forecast is saying that around 18:00 it shouldn't be raining but just cloudy.
icculus
Wed. afternoon update:
Work might not cooperate with my plans for the evening. Will check the board before I leave here to see if there will be enough peoples playing, and will join late if there are, but I might not get out in time.
icculus
A bit overcast this morning, but the forecast is for 25 degrees and no rain in the afternoon.
How about a game at 2pm at "Hirschau": (Marked as "2" on the map above)
mkg
I'm in today!
icculus
I already know of at least 3 others that are playing. Wont see the 'puter again before 2pm so see you at the fields.
RichardN
me too
mrbrain
Next game: Wednesday 28.05.2008 @ 18:00 at location 1 on the map above. Looks like it will be a hot one!
Solo
Can't wait!
icculus
I'll be there tommorow. Lookin forward to it!
Mac-lili
Hi, I would like to come for play but 'm new in Munich and dont know which stop shall I get off?
honeebeaz
If you look at the map in post 1 or check the archive thread - always very useful - you'll see that you want to get off at Giselastr then head down the Marliusstr. which turns into Thiemestr.; go over the little bridge and you'll hit the garden. Just look on your left, there should be a few frisbees flying! It's roughly a 5 - 10 minutes walk from the U-Bahn to the pitch.
icculus
Weather is warm and nice.
See you in the English garten (at location 1) at six o'clock.
mrbrain
Next game: SUNDAY 01.06.2008 @ 14:00 at location 2 on the map above. See you in the Eisbach! smile.gif
icculus
Sunny and 26 degrees!!! bring your swim suit for the Eisbach after!!! (or not ;-)
Solo
Great game on Wed.! Looking forward to the next one.
tsquare
Perhaps Sunday we could discuss when the games will be moved to 16:00 now that it's *warm* and the sun sets late.
jayhay
Great game today, the first Eisbach swim of the season. Very cool (brrr).

The next game will be on Wednesday 4th June at 18:00 at the Giselastrasse location (location 1 on the map). Also: because of the onset of summer, the Sunday games will be pushed back to 16:00 from next weekend. The location will remain as Dietlindenstrasse (location 2) for the rest of the summer. Hence the next Sunday game will be on Sunday 8th June at 16:00 at the Hirschau field.
Beba
How best to get to the locations by bike came up on Sunday. There is a handy online tool called the Fahrrad Routenplaner für München.

Just enter your starting address and destination, ex. Hirschau and it gives you a bike-friendly route similar to google maps, etc. Under Optionen, you can also choose a Zwischenziel, such as Chinesischer Turm, and specify your Preference for shortest, greenest, side streets, etc. as well as your speed.

While I'm at it, I assume most of you know about the MVV Fahrplanauskunft, where you can get routes and schedules for public transport.

only really any use if you have absolutely no clue, otherwise it is shit. It won't, for example, route you across the Staudamm from Oberföhring to Schwabing, instead it sends you all the way down to the Mittlere Ring and then back up the other side.
jayhay
Or you can just print out the map at the top of the thread and rely on your intuition to get within range. Personally I find it nigh on impossible to get lost in Munich on bike, there are so many landmarks and signs for cyclists. Of course, that may also be on account on my Navajo blood, who can be sure.
jayhay
On a completely different subject: am I the only one with a crippling all-over body ache today after playing for two hours in the sun and then jumping into the ice cold Eisbach yesterday. I guess it's because I didn't stretch at all, but I've hobbling around like an old man all day today. Grunt.

Hmm, I just tried your example and you're right, they missed a crossing there. But for most routes, it works fairly well especially if you play around with the options and can give you some new shortcuts or whatever. I did send it mainly for people who want some help finding their way, as was brought up on Sunday. I find my own way, too, but just like to use it once in a while to see which way is supposedly shortest, etc. But I didn't design it and am not forcing it on anyone.
