Although JIP's 3rd design may be more true to all of our desire AFTER the adrenaline pumping games, I do love Ben's. Who knew Ultimate could be so big in Munich?

the problem is (with mine, not ben's... ben's doesn't have this problem)... is that it doesn't strike fear into the hearts of those looking at it... so it'll be harder to get people to move
I was thinking of maybe adding a cape to the second one and making it the official Munich logo... no?

Glad you guys like it. I took a photo from the internet and ran an edge finding routine over it. Then started rebuilding some of the shapes that had been lost, removed the background and flatterned the colours a bit. Still a far bit of work to do... but I like it so far. Incidentally, the Toytown logo I spoke of is in the top left. User manual for the logo is New Logo - Toytown Munich.

Hey all, I hope people are playing tomorrow. I only just found this thread, and will try to make it out to play, rain or shine. I don't have my cleats with me though...how seriously do you play?

On the subject of T-Shirts and Logos ...

I had a go at putting the man-diving-for-the-frisbee logo together with the Toytown cube and came up with the following.
We'd have to get specific permission to print this onto a t-shirt, but I should think since it follows their guidelines, it would be okay.

To the question of is it competitive / how competitive... Yes and no. Lately we have been having two games. One for people who want a layed back fun game at a slower pace, and one where it's rather competitive. We try to still keep the physical contact to a minimum as we are not looking for injuries, and there is an after game stop at a biergarten usually.

Hopefully we'll be playing at full strength tomorrow, but we could be down a man. Anyone know if he's still breathing? Post something if you're still with us man!!

We will be playing at the alternative Dietlindenstrasse venue tomorrow since it is so hot. To get there, either follow the map on the first post of this thread, or get to GyBling str., walk along it almost to the Hirschau beer garden but turn right (towards the Isar) before you get there. PM for my mobile if you like.

We should definitly have enough for the split game, so absolute beginners welcome as well as seasoned pros. I just hope my back has recovered from my flying efforts...

I think I'm going to cycle in today since it is such a nice day - so I'll probably not be there at 3:40. Anybody else mind meeting up with people there and showing them where to go to? If not and people need directions I'll scrub the biking plans and come and meet you, no worries.

I can meet up with people. I'll probably be there around 3:40 or so, depending on when the U6 runs. I'll be on the south end of the station, underground. I'll probably head out at 3:50 or so, unless whoever wants to meet up is already there before then.

Good News For Anyone Who Wants To Buy a Frisbee!

I asked if anyone was interested in buying an ultimate frisbee (175g) from Discraft a couple of days ago and have already received positive feedback from 5 people. In the meantime I received a reply from the internet company in question: If we order 10 discs, we only pay €11,40 each! (€3,50 less than shop price).

If anyone else is interested, send me a PM at latest Tuesday.

Great game today, was wicked hot, but great to see such a large turnout and everyone toughing it out for the sake of some ultimate!

Also, anyone else think the archiving should move to Thursday nights? Helps for those who don't have internet at home, and would like to see the posts about the Sunday night game on the normal thread.

Wow. That was hot. My thermometer is reading 26 degrees here, at 9:18pm. I think it would be a good idea to move the time to 6pm for the summer if it's going to be like this. I wonder if we might fit on to the Giselestrasse site at that point in the day too? Or are people happy at Dietlindenstrasse? I'll be here Wednesday but not the following Sunday or Wednesday - I nominate Jay to organize, well, everything in my place

After Boston's drinking antics on Saturday for his 21st, I’m now getting ready to celebrate my 21st on Thursday 2nd June-this week. Anyway i plan to go to the Italian restaurant 'orchidee' for dinner at 7:30 and then onto the Jazz club below. The restaurant is about 2 doors away from the jazz club.

The group playing that night are Flute Jazz- Monika Olszak Quartet, I’m looking for some reviews in English at the moment. I really like the club, the music is always good and the atmosphere is really cool.
I planning a trip to the arc for my ‘21st get pissed session’ on the following night (3rd June,) this is more of a relaxed music listening evening.

Great designs. I would only add my changes to it. I would have the Toytown cube smaller and in line with the text, more as a stripe across the front; rather than the large cube in the center. Maybe even try and have two designs made, one White with Blue/black text and one Blue/black with white text. This way we could switch the T's when we are playing.

WRT to the t-shirts, we have to keep in line with the logo rules - and any design has to be agreed with EB and gideon as well.

Chewy and I were chatting about this last night, and iron on transfers would be the most flexible way of doing it - saves spending megabucks with a t-shirt printer, getting wodges of cash from people etc. Also means that folks can put the logo on whatever sort of shirt they personally prefer (for me it would be the back of a poloshirt, for others I guess the front of a T.

..and I'm still pondering what PTFO means. I do wish you chaps would speak English on occasion.

I like jays designs, yeah the size could be doing with changing but I think as is only a proposal then its easy changed to be a better size.

I think that we should have black and white, with the colours inverted. That way even if someone doesn't have a TT shirt they can fit in with a black or white shirt of their own.

I thought PTFO = Piss the Fuck off!!

Can we get names and numbers on our shirts too? That'd be sweet!
