Ultimate Frisbee - Wednesdays and Sundays

I don't play frisbee. But for a non-Munich based friend of mine it's his passion. He told me to tell you about Mother Tongue. Maybe you know of them already? If not, here's their intro...

Just to let you know, last night I ordered discs for benpanter (x2), brokenm, chewy, jip, scotsman, davo, bostonsportsfan, greg, joe and myself. There's a good chance they'll arrive by Sunday.

If I had my Yankees Suck shirt here, DW and I could cover each other. He can wear his Boston Sucks shirt. Of course, we'd play a best of 7 game at the end, and DW's team would go up 3-0, and then would choke it away

Tonight we will be playing at Giselestrasse from 6pm onwards. I'm not sure how long me and Helen will be there, we're meeting my parents for dinner later and my knee/ankle double act is playing up again, but I'm sure everyone else will be there.

hey guys (i include girls as well in this definition) - have we agreed to change sunday to start a little later - after the heat of the day. I know we were talking about this last week, and it sounded like a good idea! it is plenty warm and light enough till 8 or 9 in these summer months

@ Greg - we agreed to move the meetup on Sunday's to 6pm

Great game today, a lot of fun. I probably bugged a good amount of people with my yelling! It would only be a first though, right? No one mention "Dynasty"...

Probably won't be able to make it to ultimate on Sunday or Wednesday, sorry. Still TBD tho.

You may also be interested in StuStaFrisbee who play Sundays in the English Gardens (just behind the Studentenstadt - U6 line, stop called Studentenstadt). I think they currently play at 3pm, and are made up mostly of auslaender, with a handfull of English speakers amongst them.

BTW - Mother Tongue rocks too!

Ok, update: I can join around 7:30 or 7:45pm on Sunday. I'll try to give someone a call before then to find out where you are. I'm coming from Sendlinger Tor, so Dientlindenstrasse might be too far (with the walk) at that point, but I'll try!

Rain forecast for tomorrow unfortunately, so at least we'll have plenty of room to play ... Oh, and the frisbee's haven't arrived yet, so it will be Wednesday before I can bring them along.

I'll be there too - bringing a bit warmer clothes this time (still 60% probability for rain).

I might make it for a throwaround with whoever's subbed off though, if the weather holds out.

I dont think i'll be attending on sundays, 6 pm is just too late it eats into the night too much. Why has the time been changed anyway?? What was wrong with 4pm?? I just read a mention of about heat during the day? Its just that theres nothing to do all day on a sunday and to play ultimate till 8 makes, well me anyway effectively loose the night.

6pm on a wednesday is already hard for me to make so dont really want to not play at all.

What about the potential for a game for people wanting to play at 4??

The desicion was made after the 30C+ day where we played for 30 min, took a 30 min break, played for another 30 min, and then hit the bier garten. The other part of it was that the G-strasse location would *hopefully* have thinned out a little and we would be able to return there. However, I'd agree that 6pm is rather annoyingly late. But I'll be there for at least a little bit anyway. On my way now..

That was SUPER and one of the most fun days of frisbee ever! Great to meet all the new people that came out and of course to see fun old friends. See you all Wed or Sun (Cam and Suzanne)!

Sorry that I had to ditch out early yesterday I ended up getting home after the movie and not being able to sleep because I hadn't used up enough energy yet. While the movie was pretty funny, I'm 100% sure that I would rather have been chasing down a frisbee

By tomorrow it will have been a week since last playing ultimate. The chills have already hit me. I'm beginning to shake and sweat. I'm having withdrawl. I need my fix. I'll be there tomorrow.

ribs which means no ultimate for me for a while.
