Ultimate Frisbee - Wednesdays and Sundays

well ... i'm not sure about all this space travel garbage hauling nonsense, but today's game was interesting.

Only 5 on 5 - what happened to Sunday's huge turnout? The weather was great today!! The wind played havoc with everyone, but that just made things interesting.

The game was great and so was the beer - thanks for the down time guys - and Bella! I'll see if I can't zwing Marie into making some more sweets for next Wednesday.

I'm out of town Sunday - see you all next week!!!

Long story (well, longer than I'm willing to type), but the exam is now Tuesday. BTW, I'm not a fan of my Regelungstechnik professor right now.

Anyways, I'm there for the rest of the Ultimate games till I'm off.

There seem to be lots of folks out of town this weekend. Can I have a bit of a head count to see who's going to be down? If it ends up being just me and BSF throwing a disc to each other I'll prepare with a few beers at jml's bash.

@bsf: yeah, that's an insider skydive joke kinda. Because EVERYONE asks, "why would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane?" thinking they are the most clever mofo on the planet. When really they are repeating the lamest, oldest joke that every skydiver is sick of. why? because the f'n door was open! wouldn't you?

And yes, I am (was) playing Ultimate already. Would have played longer if more of you had smoked some crack to get psyched for the game (j/k).

Hiya Guys - frisbee this Wednesday will be at the Giselestrasse venue at 6pm (as with every other Wednesday, but I just thought it was worth confirming). As per usual, if you want to come along for the first time ever and are worried about not finding us, PM for my mobile number or we can get someone to meet you at the Giselestrasse U6 stop. Beginners always welcome.

Looking forward to it! So, is it at 6 P.M.? I always get confused! And I brought with me some of my favorite beer. I can bring it to the game to enjoy afterwards or wait until Sunday for those who want to try some better beer!! Problem is I only brought twenty bottles.

I'm back in town and ready to UM... Recovering from a cold, so I might be a bit slow out there though! Hope to see a good turnout tomorrow. Peas / e-tubbs

Today's Wednesday, man, that means we play! And looking outside, the weather looks perfect! What sucks is that I have to spend the day packing and cleaning my place

Edit: I'm leaving August 4th, meaning my last game is a week from today, but I need to clean and pack now due to rent, blah blah, etc.

I guess while we are admitting when our last games will be... mine will most likely be Sunday. I say most likely because I'm not sure I'll be conscious. My flight heads out 10am Monday morning... But I think I'd be up for a hungover/delirious/hallucinating/inebriated game of ultimate If on Sunday I start jumping in the air for frisbees which are not there, someone please take me out of the game and sit me down in the shade!

@DMGK - in case you haven't noticed, yes, we are playing today at 6 PM, and everyone's welcome. Try to decipher the map in the first post of the thread - we'll be playing at the Giselastrasse location. Just show up with tons of water (particularly on a hot day like today), comfortable shoes with decent grip, preferrably both a light and dark colored shirt (that's how we usually split the teams), and you'll be set. And oh yeah, it helps if you have boundless energy, cuz all we do is run around like loonies.

There are loads of services - google for one. I think this is a cut out of a larger version from ESA. Do a search here for "Satellite Image Munich" and I'm sure you'll find it. Jay's responsible for it, come along to a session and ask him!

I'm going to be heading from work direct to the field at about 16:30, and will be there sometime shortly after 17:00... if anyone is interested in getting there a couple min early (and has a disc) feel free to come by and we can throw the disc around and start to clear a field
