I'm coming to Munich for the Bayern Munich game against Celtic. I shall be arriving by train at around 6pm so time is a bit tight. Anyone know where I might be able to get tickets from?
Many thanks.
Tony.

You can get tickets on the net. Go to
FC Bayern München and then click on "ticketing". Hope you get something sorted.

I already tried getting tickets through the Bayern Munich site, but it basically said that there are no more tickets available for Bayern Munich because they need to supply a fair amount tickets to the opposing team. So, you may be better off trying to get tickets through the Celtic website. Good Luck.

Absolutely no chance through Celtic unless you are a season ticket holder. You could try ticket web sites. I ordered my tickets a couple of weeks ago as did a lot of people from work and we were all lucky.

There are always people who are trying to get rid of their tickets right before the game. Go for a gate crash.

If you can't get in to a Bayern game, or decide not to try buying from people outside - I believe that's illegal in Germany so exercise a little caution if you go down this route - come to
Günther Murphy's Irish Pub and watch the match there.

I thought they never sold out on Champions League matches?
I've just turned up at the gate and bought tickets to quite a few matches in the past - only when ManU have played have I bothered to get them sorted in advance. Have times changed so much?
I'd rather stop at home nowadays anyway and watch the games on Premiere with a cup of tea and a digestive.

I lived in Munich years back and if i couldn't buy tickets in advance i used to turn up and buy 'em from the touts about 10 mins before kick-off. I only ever paid over the odds for the derby. Hope i can do this next week. Top of the stair case at the U-bahn exit is a handy enough spot but beware of forgeries.

I've been to quite a few Bayern matches and they do sell out even regular Bundesliga matches. Not that often though...The upcoming game versus Juve should already be a sell-out. (since Juve has never played Bayern before at home) You can try to get tix at the cashier at FCB headquarters on Sabenerstr. I've done this a few times (when every other place had none) and had a few players walk right by me while buying the tix. They're selling these tix on eBay already for high prices...so I'm sure you'll have loads of trouble buying them on gameday. If you try to buy them on gameday...the closer you are to the UBahn the cheaper the tix...
Update: I just called FCB Head office...and surprise...the game is a total sellout. He told me there's no 'legal' way to get tickets...

yeah, i remember when Utd came to town back in 98 they wouldn't sell me tickets as i wasn't a German national. The main reason is to to keep hooliganism at bay. The best thing to do for CL games is to get a German friend to buy the ticket. Can't believe i'll be in Munich this day week at the top of the UBahn station trying to scrounge a ticket from any source!!

No, all the Bayern outlets are now totally sold out for the upcoming game. The only way you'll do it at this late stage is getting one from a tout.

Today is the first day of tix sales for the group phase of the Champions League. But the tix sales are only open to members of the FCB fanclub. This means that in a few days all 3 games will be sold out before any tix go on sale to the general public. Good Luck. Your best bet is going to the stadium the night of the game and paying a scalper loads of money for tix or paying loads of money on ebay for tix.

Seems ebay is the way to go. There´s plenty of tickets for Bundesliga and Champions League games. Of course more expensive, but not outrageous, about twice the oficial price, or three times for tastier games, such es vs Juventus.

Just heard a bit of secret information. Aparently the Tourist Information (at
Marienplatz) keep some tickets for the Champions League games, but will only sell them to tourists, so for the Bayern v Juve game, as long as you are not German or Italian, you can get tickets there. Am not sure how many they have though.

has anyone actually gotten tickets from the tourist info place? Do they charge anything extra? And would I be able to go and buy liek 3 tickets without proving that the other tickets are for tourists also?

I went to the tourist office on friday, they didn´t have any and told me they wouldn´t get any either. So I bought in ebay for the Juventus game, 70 €, pretty expensive but what the hell...

Season ticket for the fan curve (well it's straight now) costs 120 Euros. For that you get every home league game and the first three home CL games.
Why dont youjust go and see TSV 1860 instead. Better atmosphere at the ground apparently.
Isotope
Sep 5 2005, 10:04 pm
Yes, the first thing I thought of was to become a member. But the thing is that I'm staying only until the end of the year and it seems it takes a while to become a member, at least that's what I was told, and so I would be member only after the first couple of CL games. So I figured it wasn't worth it, thinking that some tickets would be available for non-members... I was wrong about that...

The Bayern Munich membership year runs from July 1st to the following June 30th. New members get taken on either on the 1st July or 1st January. So if you apply now membership won't take effect till January 1st. Membership is 50 Euros/year for adults.

Hi All,
I'm not long here and was wondering what the story is with getting tickets to see Bayern Munich play in home.
Are they hard to get and where should I go look for them. Do you have to book far in advance etc.
Any advice would be helpful as my parents are coming over and I'd love to bring my father to a game.

previously it was ok apart from for big games but since the move to the new arena yes it is very hard if you are not a member

FC Bayern ticketingquote from that page
"Der Ticket-Boom für die Heimspiele unserer Mannschaft ist derzeit so groß wie nie zuvor. "
(the demand for tickets for home matches has never been greater)
QUOTE

I would say that is the best idea
An alternative is to go and watch 1860 München. The quality of the football isn't quite as good of course and the stadium will most likely not be full, but you get to see a game in the fancy stadium

I dont think its that difficult to get tickets for the league games. The easiest way (and it has worked for me twice) is to buy it from ebay. I got the tickets from there for €18, which is not bad at all for (actual ticket price was €12). But mind you, these tickets are only standing tickets. The ones with allocated seat numbers might be a bit more expensive.
For big games it might be a bit expensive, but if you look at ebay a couple of weeks in advance, you will still get it for less than €25.
The other option, if you dont go with too many people, is to go to the stadium a couple of hrs before the match starts. There are a lot of people selling the tickets there, many of them actually sell t for actual price.

thoughts and opinons most welcome.

More like unless you know people who charge high prices. You'll get one on the day of the game for about 100 euros. I went down to the ground at about 3 pm the last time these two teams played and got offered quite a few. Bayern fans would sell their own mums if they thought they could make a profit so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Well, assuming you're willing to part with 100 euros that is!

If you have a look on their
website, you'll see that you're welcome to apply. Don't know what your chances of success will be. I'd guess you'd be more likely to find some if you just resort to going to a tout, even though they are scumbags.

There is a new website, www.viagogo.de, which is intended for season ticket holders who can't make it to the game to pass the ticket on at a normal price. No idea if it works as advertised, but might be worth a try. Through other official channels you'll have no chance probably, only other option would be taking a chance on the black market before the game.

Tickets are exclusively for Bayern members anyhow... only chance is ebay right now. The match is hold as the farewell game for
Mehmet Scholl most likely the best midfielder Germany has seen since Matthäus... unluckily injuries always kept him away from his true potential and most likely the only football-star you could go out at the Atomic who would buy you a beer. Thank you Mehmet for all the years of magic, you'll be missed!

Hi all,
Coming to oktoberfest this year and as it so happens, Bayern are at home in the Bundesliga when my friend and I are in town. Is it hard to get tickets for games? How do you get them - are there websites etc? Can you buy in advance of arriving in Munich or is it a case of waiting until you arrive in town?
Thanks for your Help

Greetings everyone!
Myself and a few friends are coming to Munich in February and were really hoping to see the Bayern/HSV game on the 23rd. Unfortunately it appears as though there is little chance (other than possibly viagogo) for us all to get tickets at a reasonable price.
I'm looking for any assistance possible in order to make this happen. We're looking to buy about 8 tickets (section is not important) and hopefully not have to pay at least 150 euros. I think I have done all I can to find tickets. We would be willing to pay up to 50-70 euros.
I would greatly appreciate any insights or help from people already in Munich. Or if anyone knows someone who is selling their tickets. We'd really love to get to experience a Bayern Game when we come. Thanks in advance!
Aaron

150 euros for 8 tickets is pushing it really, you're looking at least 160+ unless someone is really desperate to sell.
