Well, I was going to suggest the Fox & Hound, Fox & Grapes or Fox & Fiddle as almost dead-certs but I just tried the URL that I used to use (www.foxpubs.de) and it's more like a dead-end -- have they closed down!? Other than that, maybe try one of the many Irish pubs (MacGowan's, Irish Times, Anglo Irish, etc.).

I am pretty sure I saw some cricket in the anglo Irish last year!! He has 4 TV's in there and I'm sure if you ask nicely he'll put it on so long as there is nothing else more important on!! What is more important I here you say!!!

Many thanks - will remember to be nice to the barman.

Is the Ashes on CH4/BBC or Sky ???

I think Channel 4 and Sky but I'm not sure. Anyway I'm off down the pub now to watch it! Aussies 55-2 by the way!!

Hi Mandrax,

are you based in Frankfurt - and if so which
pub do you watch the cricket at?

Look like we're missing a really good 1st test.
Not the same to get updates via BBC website

Cheers
Huggy Bear
Yep - that would be a big help.

Managed to watcc the highlights yesterday with no sound. Still better than nothing I guess.

DOH!: Just realised these posts were from 2005, not 1 week ago. Sorry about that !!!

Hi,

Seeing as a few people are interested in Cricket here, I wanted to invite anyone that likes to play, to our hobby-cricket team.
We are a group of english, irish, german, eritrean, maroccan & chinese players that just get together on Sundays for a game. Most of us have never played before so any level of cricket is welcome.
We're not actually a registered club, we only do it for the fun. You can check out our website at www.cricket-frankfurt.de for details and some videos. If you are interested, please drop me an email. We have spare bats so you dont need any equipment to play.

In response to the original question, the ECB now offer live streaming of the test matches for as little as 3.99GBP per day. They also have other packages such as a 12 month coverage of all england ODI's and Test games for 39.99GBP for 12 months, in case anyone is interested, the URL is http://www.ecbtv.co.uk

Looking forward to any responses.
Thanks,

Danny

The Fox and Hound's still there but think the other 2 have gone now but don't know what sports they show
