We are currently looking for a Tagesmutter to care for our 20 month old son about 12 to 18 hours a week (2 to 3 days, 6 hours each day).
We prefer an official "Tagesmutter" licensed by the city of Munich since they have various insurances and go through lots of training.
Does anyone know of any Tagesmütter in the area near
Kolumbusplatz that have a space free? Or can anyone recommend a similar alternative?

Check if the
jugendamt offers a list of registered Tagesmutter, they used to at least.

Yeah, they do... we checked and got several names from there... by the time we called, they were all full or only willing to take children at least 4 days a week... we only need 2 or 3.

Check and see if your employer or your spouse's employer subscribes to
Familienservice Gmbh. Lots of companies do and they have lists of Tagesmutter also and I think do some screening.
My impression from the city lists is that the Tagesmutter do NOT get much screening or training, and I don't think they get any insurance either... one advantage is that they do keep a list of Tagesmutter that people have complained about. Maybe other folks have a different impression though?

Hello! We have been in Munich for 3 weeks and I plan to learn german asap by taking an intensive course - I am likely to take the Goethe Institute 4 week intensive courses.
My Stefan is 8 months old and I want a tagesmutter for mornings only... does any of you know how to search for one? or do you know of any of them in the Haidhausen-Bogenhausen area? Another option is for a mom that wants to share a nanny in the area during mornings?? I'm in Prinzregentenstr.
Is there any english or spanish speaking baby playgroup you are aware of in Haidhausen-Bogenhausen?? I can even teach yoga with babies in the room if we form a group?? anyone interested?? I would like to connect with the mums' community and with the babies as well. I am from Venezuela, my husband is American, our son is Argentinian, our dog is an Hungarian vizla!!! so diversity is the word!!
Any advise, tips and hints will be greatly appreciated to start up our family life in Munich!
Thank you, Wanda
