Hello,
I am from Dubai and I am coming to Germany to meet my professor here. I have an allergy and I can only eat a type of bread where the ingredients are vegetable oil, flour, yeast, milk powder, sugar and salt. So will you please tell me what kind of bread has these same ingredients? And what are the ingredients of American Toast from the
Golden Toast company - do these match my requirements?
Thanks and best regards,
Aisha

Try
Vitalia Reformhaus - there are tons of those stores around - they have all types of bread for all types of allergies.

Hi shumi,
What is the ingredient that you are allergic to? Maybe we can translate it so you can check each of the brands of toast from the Golden Toast Company.
Failing that I would suggest you just avoid toast while you are here, or bring some with you.
Happy roasting i mean toasting,
f

Hello,
thanks alot for your caring about my topic. Well, I have an allergy to eggs. I can only eat toast with these ingredients:
Milk powder, water, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, flour, yeast
Will you translate these words for me?
Also, I'd like to know of any toast where the ingredients match the ones that I mention.
Thanks alot,
Aisha

Eggs are eier in German. Make sure there is no ei or eier written in the ingredients. Definitely go to a Reformhaus and ask for bread without eggs.

Milk powder, water, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, flour, yeast
milk = Milch
milk powder = Milchpulver
water = Wasser
sugar = Zucker
salt = Salz
flour = Mehl
yeast = Hefe
vegetable oil = Pflanzenöl
Or better again, try this

Hi there, I also have an egg allergy, but I just read the packages. Alot of the breads here are more natural, and don't have egg in them, but some do. You will just have to read (as eurovol said above) for eier on the label.

There's EGG in the bread here? No way!
Eggs are what you put in cakes, surely? And in like, well, scrambled eggs ...
Guess it'll be harder to find bread WITH eggs than bread without eggs...
You'll be fine! Enjoy your stay!

Having just looked at the
Müller Brot site, there is some useful information there for what is or isn't in some of their breads. Not all, but some, tell you what's in the bread.
For example, their
Roggenbrot contains no wheat, eggs or yeast. They say it's ideal for people with a wheat allergy, but obviously would work for people with an egg allergy too.

The breads of the Hofpfisterei bakery do not contain eggs and they declare the ingredients properly. Lots of different breads, though quite different from a toast.

I think the above posts contain more than enough information to enable you to find the kind of toast you need (I don't understand why it has to be toast but never mind). I'm sorry but I really don't see what other advice you expect people to give you.

You will just have to buy an English-German dictionary/phrasebook and read/ask ingredients whenever you buy/eat something.
As for your dietary restrictions due to your allergy, rather extreme in my opinion - watermelon, limited milk (and milk based products I am assuming) and toast...
I think you need a second opinion or to consult a nutritionist before leaving Dubai.

Not much help but I keep reading the title as Allegedly-friendly bread which keeps making me wonder what allegedly unfriendly bread is like.

That is not an allergy, that is a diet and your doctor obviously has stock in watermelon, cows and the Golden Toast company.
I would get a second opinion from someone who isn't refered to as a "duck".

Hello,
thanks alot for your reply, it is very kind from you all of you, honestly the allergy which I have is urticaria the ideopathic type, and if you will look in the internet you will find out that there is lots of food not allowed to be eaten for this case, that's why I am forced to eat just few types of food for a period of time, I went to lots of doctors here in my country and even I contacted many doctors through the internet and all of them told me that it will take time around six months or more, may God help, in this preiod of time I have to avoid lots of foods such as the vegetables, and from animal protein I have just to take beef, but unfortunatley it didn't go well with my skin so I left it, regarding the fruits just three types are allowed and they are apple, pearl and watermelon, I tried all of them just the watermelon worked well with me, and about the dairy products I have to avoid all of them except milk with limited quantities. Well that's why I care alot about knowing the bread which its ingredients match the ingredients of the one which I take, all what I am asking please that if anyone of you is from Germany or live there then can he/she tell me about a bread which its ingredients can match the ingredients of the one which I take.
Thanks alot,
Shumi

FYI
I was just over at WalMart looking for bread myself and I checked out several varieties of the Golden Toast stuff and none of them had eggs in their ingredients(white or brown/wheat/whole grain types).

Hello,
thanks alot for your great help and I am very grateful for your help, so now by the information which I got I will stay with American Sandwich from Golden Toast company it sounds that it is the best, because I checked in websites and I found that the ingredients of the American Toast match the ingredients of the one which I take here in my country, so again thanks alot for your great help.
thanks and best regards
Shumi
