We are a couple of huge Texas fans living in Marburg. We are looking for information on where we might be able to watch the Texas vs OU football game this saturday night. The Marriott American Sports Bar in Frankfurt says they are only showing baseball playoffs saturday. Anyone have any ideas?
Yours American Bar on Bergerstrasse might -- give them a ring:
Yours Sports BarBerger Str. 111
60385 Frankfurt
069/40590052
they have premiere and sky sports.

I would suggest Sam's Sports Bar in alt-Sachsenhausen. They are the official bar of the Frankfurt Galaxy gridiron team and the players regularly go there. I noticed they had a live NFL game on the other evening..
Pretty cool place also, loads of plasma screens and very good value for money.

I'm a big NFL fan and, being in
Bornheim, I can highly reccommend the Yours bar as a cool place to watch it. Sam's bar is meant to be cool too though and at last count they had 378 screens in there

so you should be able to watch the game you want !!

Thanks for all of the tips, everyone! It looks like I might be able to catch the game at either Yours or Sam's. I found out that the US Armed Forces Network will be showing the game, so I called both of those places. They both carry the AFN networks, so I think I'm in business!! Really appreciate the help!! Good to know. I recall that Premiere was showing the playoffs earlier this year, but not sure if they are showing the regular season games for the NFL so far.
But thanks for the info on the two sports bars. It gets old checking the Internet play-by-play to get the SEC results or listen to dropped Internet broadcasts!

Hi guys,
could anyone tell me where they broadcast NFL games here in Frankfurt? Does the Champions bar at the Marriot still do that and if so - which matches will be shown?
I've got a bet running ont he Vikings-Packers match next week with a former collegue of mine who lives in Minnesota - I've got to see that match
Thanks!!

I don't know about Champions at the Marriott, but I suspect that you're right and that they would be showing it. For some other possibilities,
Sam's in
Sachsenhausen might be persuaded to show it, though you'll likely need to book: they'll only think about staying open that late on a school night on request. Either of the
Yours in ffm (downtown,
Bornheim) would be another likely possibility. The game is
scheduled to be shown live on Sky Sports 1, so, in theory, any pub/bar which took Sky for the (English) football (soccer) would be able to screen it , again provided they can be persuaded to stay open that late on a weekday night. HTH.

Thanks! (and thanks for moving it to the right category...)
I didn't realize it was a Monday game!! Sh..oot! Gonna try to find out if they repeat the game on Tuesday at a reasonable hour (for us here), but the schedule for Tuesday on Sky Sports isn't out yet. Anyway - thanks for your help!

I need to find a place too. I've found a place where I can bet on the Chargers, but then no place to watch the Chargers win.
