Tresor - world famous techno nightclub in Berlin

Do not know if you techno folk know, but Tresor the world famous Techno club is to re-open in Berlin-Mitte (Köppenicker Straße) possibly in March 2007.

Over 1.5 million people visited the old Tresor, possibly the most famous club not only in Berlin but in Germany.

Excellent!!! Thanks so much! I have been waiting for them to announce a more concrete re-opening date for ages. I am deffo looking forward to rocking at the new place! This new location looks promising, but I am admittedly rather skeptical anything can come close to the look and feel of the old Leipzigerstr. location... Well, there is only one way to find out! I was in Berlin for the Love Parade in 1999 and remember walking past this place. The place was legendary back then, but even at that tender age it was too hardcore for me. But it's always nice to see an old name reappearing. Still rather bitter about Dorian Gray closing down. Due to fire regulations apparently - they must have been in the only building in Germany that gives a shit about that.

Atleast we're getting some life back to the heart Mitte. I'm usually forced to goto Friedrichshain or *sigh* West-Berlin to party. Good news. There's also rumour of GMF moving to Mitte post-summer.

According to the caption on the article on the first post it's a new venue. It used to be in Leipziger Strasse 126a.

New location is: Köpenicker Straße 73

It is to open on Thurs 24th May.
