Winterspeck weg!
We all know how daunting it can be to start up in a new sport, especialy when you stand on the sideline and watch those with experience make it all look so fluent (all fake believe me :-)). With this in mind, and as the gods of fate would have it, we're offereing those who want to try out the game a separate training session next to the main game on a Sunday concentrating on the first steps ball handleing (stop sniggereing), walk-throughs of basic positioning, basic rules and tactics etc. It's a great way to get to know what is a fun, healthy and social sport for any age gender and fitness level (well apart form the beer garden bit after!)
All are welcome

Thanks for all who turned up and took up the offer, you all improved over the day and quickly grasped the basics of positioning. I'd like to go through the ideas of the basic drive and polish up the rollball with you next time. See you there.
Location is the same as for
Touch Rugby on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, namely the English Garden on the meadow between the Chinese Tower and the Seehaus lake, Giselastrasse Ubahn stop.

I've just been secretly asked as to how a drive functions. We didn't realy have much time to go over that last week. We should though do that quickly this week so those who are new to the sport can learn it.
I also had some other odd questions which I'll air on Sunday too!.
See you there.

Hi Dan, we are only playing on Sunday mornings at the moment. During the summer we also train on Tuesdays and Thursdays but due to lack of light we cant train midweek in winter. Come down one Sunday when you arrive and join in.

About fifteen people turned up to play a week ago and then twelve people yesterday so I expect there will be enough people to play next Sunday (02.12) too.

"The team" may have been playing in Vienna, but a group of us played in the
English gardens as usual. We probably only started at about 11:20 though - but that isn't so unusual! Sorry you missed us.

I just thought with a lot of the "regular" players away, that there might not be many people attending if it's raining. Now we've got some definites - I'll be there whatever the weather!

touch rugby date for Jun 15th is now gone from the event calender, does that mean that training is not on regularly?

I was there on Sunday from 10:55. We must have had about 20 players at least by the end. Although it's often sluggish to get going, what time did you hang around till?
We'll be playing tonight if you fancy a run around tonight. You can get in touch with me on my mobile next time to be sure you can meet up with us. PM for my mobile number.

Touch rugby in the
English Gardens is cancelled for Sunday 10th August because most people who play touch rugby are taking part in the
Bavarian Open touch rugby tournament or a rugby league game this weekend instead.
