Hi,
is anyone interested in a game? I'm an average player which doesn't play that regularly!!!
Hi, I started playing tennis last summer. I am now taking lessons once a week but I'd like to play more to improve my level. I'd say my level is beginner-intermediate. Please let me know if anybody is interested!

I think there's a group - not TT - that plays on Saturdays at at at...Scheidplatz, that's the name. I don't have a link or anything. I think it's organized by the German-English Association, but I'm not sure.

Hi everyone.
I've recently moved to Munich and am well up for playing some tennis. I used to play fairly good club level tennis back in the UK, but haven't played for at least 6 months. I'm looking for a hitting partner - or partners to form 2 doubles. So if anyone is up for a knock, drop me a PM.
I've looked at joining clubs but they all look terribly expensive from what I've seen. Anybody have any recommendations for places to join and for courts where you can just turn up and play??
Many thanks. Matt.

I'm also up for a game or two per week. There's a good outdoor court in the
olympiapark (north side of GBR) though I suspect it will be a few more weeks before it opens (it's about 10-15 eur/hr). For now I play about once a week indoors at the tennisplatz in
starnberg (25 eur/hr). I hear there's an indoor platz in bogenhausen though not sure about cost and how busy it is.
Let me know if you're interested to play

Hey Oliver,
Where's that list? There seems to be interest. I am in the Hallbergmoos area, but "have car will drive" (but probably not to Herrsching though). Are there any regular tennis meet-ups yet?

hi,
how do you measure this level 3.0 or 3.5? is that something like intermediate? Maybe we should start keeping score so we can see who is playing better or worst or at the same level. Have any of you people already played together?

Hi,
I am looking for a tennis partner(s) for my professor. He is a 60 yr old Russian but has been working in the US since '94. He is currently in Munich and will be here until the end of August. But he is not registered with this forum. and if anyone is interested, then please send me a PM with your email address and I shall ask him to get in touch with you right away.
About his tennis skills: He is closer to being a beginner than an intermediate player. He is fairly flexible with timings and is ready to accommodate anyone who would be interested in playing with him.
Thanks.

Hey all. I saw a tennis topic posted sometime ago and thought it worth posting a refresher. I am looking to find a group of intermediate to advanced tennis players who are up for a playing once or twice week. I moved to Munich last week so not sure yet where the best venues are, but it should not be hard to figure out.
Let me know if anyone is interested in playing. Keen to kick things off next week if possible.
Cheers

Hi,
I'm interested. We can play at
Olympia park. 10 € clay 6€ rubber courts. Are you usually free in the evening? Where do you live in Munich

Hi. I live close to
Sendlinger Tor station. Yeah evenings are good for me. Can play straight after work if that suits you? I work close to
Nordfriedhof so the Olympic stadium as a venue is good for me.

I reckon my wrist's got better enough to play but I'd like to test it out with someone with slowish serves as the force of a chunky return is quite a lot and part of what hurt it in the first place.
I only do non-clay...Olympia Zentrum seems best for that.
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays after work + weekends.

Why don't those that are interested in playing regularly all just try and meet this Thursday at the Olympic Stadium at 6-7pm? Stnx what are the chances of booking like 3 courts there?

Hi everyone,
I have just moved to Munich and looking for a partner(s). I would give myself 3.5 if 5 is preffessional. We can play at MTTC Iphitos near
studentenstadt. Its cheap at 4 euros per hour. I am not sure about the courts but they must be good. After all MTTC holds the BMW open.
I can also play elsewhere if any one is interested.

I would be intersted as well... Im probably somewhere between 3.0 - 4.0, although its been a while since I've played a good competitive tournament...
Can't make it this thursday though, but maybe next time?

when can you play? I am free in the evinings saturday onwards but I am not sure that the courts are available on weekends or not. We can play next week.

I have some plans this weekend, but maybe Monday or Tuesday after work? Im usually free after 3pmish on weekdays...
Let me know, Ive never been to the
Olympia Park's courts, but they are cheaper than the place Ive been to a few times - the Rothof here in Bogenhausen - €20 for an hour on clay. I personally prefer concrete (since thats all we had in the U.S. LOL), but I have a feeling thats hard to find here in Munich. The rubber ones at Olympia might work for €6 or whatever it was.
Let me know what works for you...

I think you have played on very expensive court. 20 euros is too much. I havn't played anywhere in Munich yet but I have checked the price on clay courts at MTTC Iphitos near
studentenstadt. its 4 euros per hour for guests and 0.50 for members. I am not sure about the quality of the courts, but we can try.
I am more comfortable on hard court but i havn't seen one here in germany since I got here 5 months ago. I have been playing on a carpet court instead in Erlangen. For me any surface would do...

hey i jsut came from the US and live in near
olympia park... i dont really know where or how to paly anywhere but i have seen courts around, can anyone help me out or want to play? I have been consistently nationally ranked and injury prevented me from playing High level college tennis. I am looking for mainly serious players but would not mind jsut hitting around for fun. Also if anyone wants lessons i would be more than willing to do that, i have been a coach and instructor for 6 years back in the States. Let me know before it gets to cold! ahaha

Hey Easepease. I would be interested in game and probably a lesson beforehand. My tennis has gone downhill since leaving my club in the UK so it would be good to try and get it back on track. I am travelling a fair bit this week, but could do next Thursday?

hi easepease. I would realy like to play with you since I am also looking for some serious tennis. Looks like you are a better player if you were nationally ranked but we can try. We can play at
studentenstadt. The courts are cheap at four euros per hour and playable too. I am totaly free these days. Just tell me some time when you can play.

I just arrived at Munich and I live in
Freimann. There are some clubs around and I wonder where to register. Is there any club with indoor courts? I'd like to play regularly and also take lessons. I considered my level intermediate since I've never taken serious lessons, but I'm willing to do so. Any suggestions?
I've read about the club at Studentstad which holds the BMW open. Does it have indoor courts?
Thanks!
