Football in the English Garden

Hi Guys/Girls

Last yr, we arranged a sunday a kick about at the English Gardens and I thought since the weather is looking better for it, why not start it up again. At the moment, we'll build a list to see how many we can get and if theres enough, then we'll start it up...

If the weather's alright on Sunday, I'll be there. Bit too early to say though.

Yeah If the weathers good ill play too. But if the weather is good the place will be packed we could do what we did last summer and take over the touch rugby spot when there done.

Let's do it! last time there were a few soccer players there, but we just joined the ultimate game.

soo... we can meet at 2pm (though I might be a little bit late) at Giselastrasse (near the Frizbee group). If you go by U-bahn, you would have to take the North exit and walk directly East towards Englisher Garden. It is the big open area on the left. Just listen for the English speaking group of people.

See you sunday, I heard it will be 20 degrees!!!

Not exactly. Sorry, I meant the Giselastrasse Ubahn station... the North exit is a bit North of the actual Strasse... it's the one on the map that connects with the Englisher Garten str. which runs through Englisher Garten. So we would meet in the park on the big open green area on the left (if walking from the Ubahn station.)

Does that make sense?

If you take a look at the first post on the frisbee thread, on the map it's the area marked with "1".

Hello all. Arrived in Munich yesterday. Will be here for the next two years. Would love to play football but unfortunately my boots are in transit for the next couple of months. In the meantime I will be restricted to watching. Can anyone give me the names of a few pubs that show regular British football and were I can see next weeks CL games?

I had the same problem yesterday stnx. Maybe I came too late. And it looks like the frisbee group moved to their other location. Maybe next week? We can try to be more specific about where to meet.

is the English Garden Football Game still going? When would be the next one?

I would love to join you, if I'm not the only girl who is playing...

We haven't managed to get it going yet this summer. Hopefully it will happen soon. I know I won't be here this weekend. But, since the topic is open again maybe some others will want to play... anyone?
