Paddling, canoeing, and rowing around Frankfurt

Hi all,

I have some visitors coming who are considering moving to Frankfurt from Hawaii. One of them is an avid open-ocean paddler (out-rigger canoes) and is interested in learning about paddling or rowing clubs in the Frankfurt area. Does anyone know of any? Are they relatively easy for English-only speaking individuals (women in particulary) to join?

I've seen the dragon boat races in the summer, are there regular clubs/teams that row the boats regularly?

I know ESOC/ESA have a rowing club in Darmstadt which is English speaking. I have no idea how active they are though I will try and find out.
