Bringing this back to life.

The idea is the same, but the rules have changed a bit. I simply can't be all things to all people and all kids cannot be a part of this due to age limitations.

The idea now is to have a once a week or twice a month get-together during the week and after school (4pm to 6pm). The topics will be age appropriate and the activities will be within their realm of accomplishment.

The emphasis will be on mind building and approaching things that they will not encounter in the school system for several more years if ever. The focus will be on how to learn new things and not how to memorize new things. It will be about experiences within and outside of the norm.

This time around, it will be limited to those that can actually commit to the time schedule and have a kid or kids within the age limit.

The rules and what fors:
This is not a drop your kid off service. You are expected to be a part of this and I mean seriously you will be a part of this!
There is no cost outside of supplies and the occasional outings to reinforce the things learned.
This will mimic Indian Guides, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, Explorers and what ever else you may know or think of.
I am a scientist, an Eagle Scout, a member of the Order of the Arrow and I want to pass these things on to my son.
This will be limited to 5-7 participants.

Interested, then contact me via this thread or PM.

I look forward to hearing from you, Randy

I may be interested (on behalf of my 5 year old daughter) and wouldn't mind helping out however, I have two other younger daughters that I'd have to bring along.

Would this be a problem? I appreciate you probably don't want this turning into a 'baby group'

The idea is to focus on the 5 to 7 year olds. There is space for the parents and non-involved siblings.

Yes, I am interested in bringing my 5 year old daughter to this activity, when and where?

My son is 5 in October and I think he would love something like this. I only just saw the thread today.
Hope it is still on

Uh, we are going to join the Cub Scouts instead I think. They now have someone in charge that knows what the fuck he is doing. wink.gif

However, from time to time we may do something extra. One suggestion that we are doing is camping out at the Southern State Festival at Hausler Hof in August. Should be fun!

OK - would you mind posting where I can find out about the cub scouts - that sounds great
Thanks eurovol

OMG - I am so going to that! Though I think they have their "Südstaaten" mixed up with the "Cowboy and Indian Staaten" and lots of it reminds me of Wyoming.

And, I've never camped in Europe before. And I quit camping in the states when I turned 16.

This should be interesting. laugh.gif

If you go as authentic Cowboys and Indians, you can camp for free and save the €16. I tried to get a discount being part Cherokee and all without dressing up and bringing along a tepee, but no go.
